Christiana “Christi” Hebel has lived and breathed the camping industry her entire life. As a fourth-generation leader of Fish Lake Beach Camping Resort—founded by her great-grandparents in 1939—Christi brings decades of hands-on experience and a lifetime of knowledge in outdoor hospitality.
From her first job running the popcorn wagon at age 10 to ultimately managing a 600+ site campground, Christi has gained a deep understanding of every aspect of campground operations. After the successful sale of Fish Lake Beach in 2025, Christi made the decision to share her expertise with others in the industry, helping campgrounds across the country thrive.
Living on-site and managing the day-to-day operations taught Christi the critical importance of organization, operational efficiency, and guest experience. She spearheaded strategic changes at Fish Lake Beach, including a successful site-tiering system and a streamlined collections process that resolved past-due accounts. She also curated memorable guest experiences by coordinating food trucks, games, crafts, and themed events—leveraging her background in education to “lesson plan” weekends full of fun.
Christi holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and has completed a year in the Outdoor Hospitality Education Program. She brings a unique blend of hospitality savvy, educational creativity, and a passion for people to every consulting engagement.
When she’s not working with campground owners, Christi enjoys reading, meeting new people, and spending time with her family.
