Campground Consulting Group Launches Executive Leadership for RV Resorts and Campgrounds

Executive leadership aligned with ownership goals; an alternative to third-party management that strengthens operations, drives efficiency and increases NOI.

Meredith, NH – January 27, 2026 – Campground Consulting Group (CCG) is pleased to announce the launch of their twist on third party management.  This new executive level oversight and guidance provides dedicated leadership to help RV park and campground owners maximize net operating income (NOI) and long-term asset value through continuous, executive-level decision making and leadership.  Built as an owner-aligned alternative to traditional third-party management, the service provides strategic direction, performance accountability and high-impact decision support.

“Owners don’t need another layer of management – they need an experienced executive partner who stays engaged, makes the right calls, and keeps initiatives moving,” said Jayne Cohen, Founder & CEO of Campground Consulting Group. “CCG’s oversight and guidance is led by two experienced consultants, Erik Gothberg and Terry Munoz, both with years of executive level campground and RV park management experience. Their oversight is designed to deliver ongoing value month after month with clearer priorities, better revenue decisions, smarter capital planning and accountable follow-through that shows up in NOI and asset performance.” added Cohen.

Unlike traditional day-to-day management services that concentrate on running  front-desk operations, dispatching maintenance calls, or managing staff scheduling CCG’s focus is exclusively on the strategic decisions that determine a property’s financial success: rate and revenue strategy, revenue-mix optimization, budgeting and financial performance, branding, staffing and service level planning, vendor strategy, and ROI-based capital prioritization.  CCG also serves as the owner’s direct representative in critical negotiations with vendors, partners, or franchisors.

“Great operators execute daily, but owners win when executive decisions consistently support long-term investment value,” said Erik Gothberg, the CCG consultant leading the introduction of CCG’s Oversight services.  “Our role is to be the voice of ownership-bringing disciplined pricing strategy, financial oversight, and ROI-based capital priorities to the table, then working with the on-site team to implement and sustain the plan.”

Gothberg is a longtime outdoor hospitality executive with more than two decades of experience in operations and development, including senior leadership roles at Sun Communities, Roberts Resorts and Kampgrounds of America (KOA), where he oversaw multi-state resort portfolios and development initiatives.

“These services are tried and true” says Cohen. For the past couple of years Terry Munoz has successfully provided oversight, guidance and supervision for Brad Mewes, owner of Lost River RV Park in Baytown, TX. The park has experienced tremendous success, grown strategically and increased profitably with Terry’s oversight.

“I acquired Lost River RV Park in late 2023. As part of my diligence, CCG was retained to complete an assessment of the park’s infrastructure and operations. Immediately I saw the expertise, professionalism and competence of the entire group. Terry Munoz performed an onsite inspection and immediately highlighted areas of weakness, but also as important, if not more importantly, he highlighted opportunities and a path forward. This included not only a capex plan, but also an operational and a management plan. Terry has been an invaluable resource in the advancement of the park. He’s professional, reliable, and easy to work with. I’m very satisfied with the expertise and experience he and the entire CCG group deliver.  While I’ve invested heavily into the park, ultimately, we are setting the foundation for a great return on investment at Lost River and much of this has to do with Terry’s involvement and expert guidance.”  states owner Brad Mewes.

“Our continuous guidance, supervision and leadership is the alternative to traditional 3rd party management for individual campgrounds or organizations with more than one property.  Services are specific to each client and helpful to an onsite active operator or the owner who visits their property just once a year” comments Munoz.    “Third party management works in many scenarios, but it is not the right fit for all RV parks” adds Munoz.

Munoz has more than three decades of experience in outdoor hospitality management, training, operations and development. His experience includes regional leadership roles at Thousand Trails, and Equity Lifestyle Properties and for The Signorelli Company as Vice President of Recreational Properties, where he designed, developed and operated a luxury camping/glamping resort on Lake Houston.

CCG’s guidance and supervision services are available immediately to owners of RV parks, campgrounds, RV resorts and related outdoor hospitality assets seeking an owner-aligned partner to improve performance – without turning the property over to traditional third-party management.
